Teaching Styles

imageMy they do vary, just like the flowers in a garden.

Some stay on their mats and demonstrate the poses. Some are continuously walking the room. Others do a combination. For some, their accent sets them apart or the gentle smoothness of the words as the trail off their tongues. Some instructors are very specific with instructions, explaining the why’s and how’s. Still others use flowery language, painting a vivid picture.

Which one is right for you? Does it vary by day or even by the type of class you take? Do teachers vary any or all of these things based on which class they are teaching or even which studio they are at?

So many opportunities to excel, I can’t wait!
